AI search visibility for promotional products distributors, tracked monthly in ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI and Perplexity, fixed on your own site.

Four AI tools answer the same buyer question. Two of them name the company, two don't.

Ten questions your buyers ask, tested in ChatGPT. For each one, whether you are named and who is named instead.
| Question | Are you named? | Named instead |
|---|---|---|
| Rush custom logo tumblers, 250 pieces, Ohio | No | Harbor Promo Co., Summit Branded Goods |
| Promo company for a hospital staff appreciation week | No | Lakeside Logo Works, 4imprint |
| Eco-friendly branded tote bags with a low minimum | Yes | Also: Harbor Promo Co. |
Sample rows from an audit of a US promotional products distributor, with the company name removed. Mockup data.
A buyer who takes that answer contacts those companies.
Ask ChatGPT this exact question yourself. The answer can differ a little by country and by day.
I only work with one distributor per niche in your region. Once you're in, your competitor can't hire me.
If you share your budget and tumbler style, I can narrow this down.
Mockup data. The real answer comes from the practice audit.
AI tools quote pages that state the answer. For the question above, every named site puts three facts on the page.
If your pages don't state these yet, the AI has nothing to quote, and it names someone else.
Mockup data. Real facts come from the competitor map in the practice audit.
Some do, and the number is still small. It is growing.
promotional products sites I checked got visits from AI tools in Similarweb's September data.
visits a month from AI tools, the median across those sites.
of what those sites get from links on other websites.
A survey of business buyers published by Digital Commerce 360 in October 2025 found how many name chatbots as a main way to find vendors.
No survey covers promotional products buyers on their own.
Most buyers still use Google, vendors they already know and sales reps. A buyer who does ask an AI gets a short list of named companies with phone numbers and email addresses.
20 to 40 buyer questions built for your business: your products, your buyer types, your region and the needs your customers state.
In ChatGPT (each question run 3 times), Claude, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, and Perplexity, from your country in a clean browser.
Fact blocks and question-and-answer sections on the 10 to 15 pages that matter most, marked up so AI tools can read them.
1 to 3 new pages for questions that have no good page on your site yet.
Work on getting you named in the 2 to 3 “top promo companies” articles in your niche.
A simple review-request system. I set it up and you do the asking.
A check that AI tools are allowed to read your site.
A one-page report every month.
Not included: blog posts by the dozen, paid ads, social media, a new website build.
I build your question set and test it in each AI tool from your country. I map who gets named for each question and why. I check your site for missing facts and question-and-answer sections, and for whether AI tools are allowed to read it. You get a fix plan ranked by which questions you can win first, and a baseline report that says how many of your questions name you today.
I draft fact blocks and question-and-answer sections for the 10 to 15 pages that matter most. You confirm every fact before it goes live. Each change goes in a log you can see. I add the markup that helps AI tools read the new sections, start the review requests, write 1 to 3 new pages and send your first monthly report.
I re-test every question and work on the ones you are still losing. I go after mentions in the "top promo companies" articles. You get a report every month.
That is your whole part. I do the rest of the work.
Nothing goes live until you confirm the facts.
An editor login for your site (Shopify staff account, WordPress editor, BigCommerce user), or your developer's contact if the site is custom.
Access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Manager access to your Google Business Profile, only if you want to be named for place questions such as "promo company in Leeds".
30 minutes of your time, or written answers about your best products, best customers, delivery times and competitors.
Every month you get one page. It shows:

One plan. Everything in the list above is included. This is the price for my first three to five clients. It will go up for new clients, and yours stays at $500 for as long as you work with me.

When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Claude, Google's AI or Perplexity a question such as "where should I order 500 logo mugs?", the AI writes an answer and names a few companies. AI search visibility is whether yours is one of them.
It reads pages on the web and tends to name the companies whose pages state the answer clearly: the minimum order, the price at a quantity, how fast they can deliver. It also reads "top promo companies" articles and customer reviews. An answer usually names three to five companies.
Four: ChatGPT, Claude, the AI answers inside Google search (AI Overviews and AI Mode) and Perplexity. Buyers use different ones, and the same question can get a different answer in each, so I test all four.
SEO gets your site onto Google's list of links. An AI answer names a few companies, and a different set of pages wins that. Google's own guide says optimising for its AI features is still SEO, so some of the work helps both. Reviews, page facts and mentions in "top companies" articles also help normal Google search.
Some do. In Similarweb's September data, 17 of the 26 promotional products sites I checked got visits from AI tools, a median of about 1,500 a month. Surveys put the share of business buyers who use chatbots to find vendors at 28% outside tech, 48% in the US and 14% elsewhere. No survey covers promotional products buyers on their own. It is still a small channel, and it is growing.
I work out the questions your buyers are likely to ask and test them in the four AI tools every month. Then I fix what keeps you from being named. That means adding the missing facts and question-and-answer sections to your pages, writing a few new pages where none exists, and working on getting you into the articles and review sites the AI tools read. The list under "What the work covers" has the details.
No. I do the work. Your part is to give me access to your site, answer a few questions about your products, and confirm each fact before it goes live.
I need an editor account on your site, or your developer's contact if the site is custom. Nothing goes live until you confirm every fact, and every change goes in a log you can see.
AI tools read more than your own site. They also read "top promo companies" lists, review sites and other pages that talk about you, and they often cite them. If those sources name your competitors and not you, the AI has less reason to name you. That is why part of the work happens off your site.
No, and nobody honestly can. AI tools are independent and nobody controls what they say. I promise the work and an honest report every month.
No one can honestly promise that. In the US, large companies such as 4imprint and Custom Ink take that answer. The questions a smaller distributor can win are specific ones: a product, a type of buyer, a city, a need. I build your list around those.
Changes to your pages can show in ChatGPT within a few weeks. Google is slower. Expect the first movement in the month-2 report and a real picture by month 3.
I re-test the same questions every month. Your report says how many named you before and how many name you now.
No. Ask them what share of ChatGPT's answers you appear in for your buyers' questions. If they don't track it, I can work alongside them on just this.
$500 a month, paid monthly in advance. There is a 3 month minimum, then 30 days' notice. Everything I change on your site stays yours.
I'll tell you before you start. The free list costs nothing either way.
Right now I work only with promotional products distributors.
Yes. It shows which questions don't name you today and who is named instead. Whether you hire me after that is up to you.
I run your questions in ChatGPT and email you the list within a day. If it shows a gap you want fixed, you reply. If not, that is the end of it.
